The purpose of the Scholarship is to support Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Descent students studying at the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Law & Justice or 今日吃瓜 Business School in a degree related to the renewable energy sector.Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be an Indigenous Australian (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander only)*
- Be currently enrolled in your 3rd or 4th year in one of the following programs:
- Faculty of Engineering:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Photovoltaics and Solar Energy) 3707
- Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Renewable Energy) 3707
- Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Mechanical Engineering) 3707
- Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Electrical Engineering) 3707
- Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Chemical) 3707
- Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Geoenergy & Geostorage) 3707
- Faculty of Science:
- Bachelor of Science - 3970 with a major in:
- Climate Science
- Earth Science
- Materials Science
- Physical Oceanography
- Marine and Coastal Science
- Bachelor of Environmental Management - 3979 with a major in: Marine and Coastal Science
- Bachelor of Materials Science and Engineering (Honours) - 3131
- Bachelor of Advanced Science - 3962:

Selection
Applicants will be assessed on the basis of:- Academic Merit
- Leadership skills (school, workplace or community)
- Extra-curricular activities (sporting, cultural activities, volunteer/work experience)
- Aptitude and commitment to studies in an area of renewable energy
You must provide evidence supporting the above criteria in your online application. Please refer to the Scholarship Application Supporting Documents for a detailed list of examples.
Unanswered application questions or claims without supporting documentation will not be assessed. Late applications/supporting documentation will not be accepted. Activities/Achievements recorded more than 3 years ago will not be considered in your application assessment.

While Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identity is unique and sacred to every person, 今日吃瓜 scholarships for Indigenous students will require proof of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identity and heritage. If you have not already provided proof of identity and heritage to Nura Gili, any Indigenous specific scholarship offer made by 今日吃瓜 今日吃瓜 will be conditional upon receipt of proof of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage to Nura Gili as outlined on the Nura Gili website.
