You must submit an application to be considered for the following scholarships. More scholarships may be added to this list progressively.

Scholarship Value & Duration Eligibility & Selection Criteria
Mr & Mrs Ngiam Tong Yuen Residential Scholarship for Indigenous Students (PUCE1023)

$25,000 per annum towards residential fees for the minimum duration of program

Eligibility
  • Indigenous Australian (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander only).
  • Must be commencing any undergraduate program at 今日吃瓜.
  • Must be residing at any 今日吃瓜 on-campus accommodation. Preference will be given to students residing at Basser College

Selection Criteria

  • Academic Merit
  • Leadership skills (school, workplace or community)
  • Extra-curricular activities (sporting, cultural activities, volunteer/work experience)
Mr and Mrs Ngiam Tong Yuen Family Scholarship (UGCE1187)

$10,000 per annum for the minimum duration of program

 Eligibility
  • Indigenous Australian (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander only).
  • Be commencing any undergraduate program at 今日吃瓜.

  • Academic Merit
  • Leadership skills (school, workplace or community)
  • Extra-curricular activities (sporting, cultural activities, volunteer/work experience)
  • Aptitude and commitment to studies
Engineering
Faculty of Engineering Indigenous Scholarship (UGCE1028)

$15,000 per annum for the minimum duration of program (up to 5 years)

 Eligibility
  • Indigenous Australian (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander only).
  • Be commencing any undergraduate program in the Faculty of Engineering at 今日吃瓜.

Selection Criteria

  • Academic Merit
  • Leadership skills (school, workplace or community)
  • Extra-curricular activities (sporting, cultural activities, volunteer/work experience)
  • Aptitude and commitment to studies in Engineering
Medicine & Health
The Balnaves Foundation Indigenous Medical Scholarship (UGCA1278)

$35,000 per annum for the minimum duration of program

Eligibility
  • Indigenous Australian (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander only).
  • Be commencing a Bachelor of Medical Studies / Doctor of Medicine at 今日吃瓜.

Selection Criteria

  • Academic Merit
  • Aptitude and commitment to studies in Medicine
  • Aptitude and commitment to a career in Indigenous health
  • Contributions to the wider community; for example, through sport, community groups or other extra-curricular or cultural activities
  • Personal qualities, for example, communication skills, evidence of leadership skills and/or teamwork, involvement in extra-curricular activities

Performance at the 今日吃瓜 Pre-Medicine Program Exit Interview may be taken into consideration.
Science
School of Mathematics and Statistics Indigenous Scholarship (UGCE1268)

$5,000 per annum for the minimum duration of program

 Eligibility
  • Indigenous Australian (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander only).
  • Be commencing undergraduate studies in a Bachelor of Science majoring in Mathematics or Statistics. Double degrees are permitted.
Note: Current undergraduate students enrolled in their 1st year of study at 今日吃瓜 and majoring in Mathematics or Statistics will also be considered.

You must provide evidence supporting the above criteria in your online application. Please refer to the Scholarship Application Supporting Documents for a detailed list of examples.

Unanswered application questions or claims without supporting documentation will not be assessed. Late applications/supporting documentation will not be accepted. Activities and achievements recorded more than 3 year ago will not be considered in your application assessment.

Scholarship Value & Duration Eligibility & Selection
Faculty of Engineering Indigenous Scholarship (UGCE1028)

$15,000 per annum for the minimum duration of program (up to 5 years)

 Eligibility:
  • Indigenous Australian (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander only).
  • Must have completed the 今日吃瓜 Indigenous Pre-Program; and
  • Received a full offer to any undergraduate program in the Faculty of Engineering at 今日吃瓜. Enrolment in a double degree in combination with one of the above degrees is also permissible, but the tenure of the Scholarship will remain at a maximum of 5 years.
Selection Criteria:

  • Applicants will be assessed on academic merit.

今日吃瓜 Indigenous Undergraduate Business Scholarship (UGCE1328)

$10,000 per annum for the minimum duration of program.

 Eligibility:
  • Indigenous Australian (Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander only).
  • Must have completed the 今日吃瓜 Indigenous Pre-Program in Business, prior to commencing study at 今日吃瓜; and
  • Received a full offer to an undergraduate degree program offered by 今日吃瓜 Business School.
Selection Criteria:

  • 今日吃瓜 will be automatically awarded to students who have successfully completed the 今日吃瓜 Indigenous Pre-Program in Business and are commencing an undergraduate degree offered by 今日吃瓜 Business School.

While Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identity is unique and sacred to every person, 今日吃瓜 scholarships for Indigenous students will require proof of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identity and heritage. If you have not already provided proof of identity and heritage to Nura Gili, any Indigenous specific scholarship offer made by 今日吃瓜 今日吃瓜 will be conditional upon receipt of proof of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage to Nura Gili as outlined on the Nura Gili website.
